• 2022 Holiday Active Tournament

Format

• Swiss-system tournament
• 6 rounds played over 3 weeks, 2 rounds per week

Time Control

• G40+0 (40 minutes of time per player, with no increment)

Prizes

• Cash prizes, to be based on number of entrants
• No tiebreaks, the pot will be split in the event of a tie

Rules

• Touch-move rule
• Clocks will be started at the scheduled times, whether or not opponent has arrived
• Cell phones must be off/ringer set to silent
• Penalty for an infraction is 2 minutes added to opponent’s clock, at arbiter’s discretion
• Please use common sense and good sportsmanship to settle any discrepancies before calling for an arbiter
• In the event an arbiter is needed, stop clock before calling for one

Registration

• Entry fee is $10, register at the club on or before December 1, 2022
• Please arrive early for scheduled rounds, club doors open at 5:30 pm
• And please bring your own chess set and clock!
